Job Opportunity

Carrus Group is recruiting experienced Code 14 Drivers to join a transport operation based in Milnerton, Cape Town.

This opportunity is ideal for professional drivers with extensive experience operating Horse and Trailer Trucks who are looking for immediate employment with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Overview

The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods while ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations, company procedures, and customer service standards.

Drivers will be expected to maintain high safety standards and ensure efficient delivery operations at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Transport Operations

• Safely operate Horse and Trailer trucks

• Transport goods to designated destinations

• Follow approved routes and delivery schedules

• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations

Vehicle Care & Safety

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections

• Report any defects, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness

Documentation

• Complete transport and delivery documentation accurately

• Maintain trip records and logbooks

• Report incidents and delays when required

Customer Service

• Represent the company professionally

• Maintain good relationships with clients and customers

• Ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12)

Licences

• Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience operating Horse and Trailer trucks
