The South African Police Service (SAPS) is inviting applications for a Food Service Aid position within the Financial Management Services Division. This permanent government post is based at Head Office, Pretoria.

Salary

R144 024 per annum (Level 2)

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

-Grade 10 / Standard 8 / NQF Level 2 qualification

-South African citizenship

-Proficiency in English and at least one other official language

-Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and basic cooking methods

-Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices

-Good communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to prepare food, modify meals for standard diets and maintain a clean kitchen

-Be willing to work extended hours when required

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

• Prepare and serve refreshments
• Organise and maintain hygienic kitchen areas
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
• Apply food safety and hygiene standards
• Assist with general food service duties as required
