Overview:
Famous Brands Limited is seeking a professional and experienced Code 14 Driver to support the logistics team in the delivery of a wide range of goods to various customer destinations. The role includes responsibility for stock safety, route management, compliance with transport regulations, and maintaining food safety standards during delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects to management immediately
-Maintain cleanliness and safety of trucks in accordance with the Road Traffic Act
-Ensure goods are securely transported and delivered as scheduled
-Use Trackmatic delivery app for accurate tracking of routes and trip metrics
-Comply with all company trucking policies and road transport regulations
-Complete all delivery documentation including invoices and signatures
-Communicate with the dispatch office regarding traffic, delays, or delivery issues
-Take full responsibility for loaded and offloaded stock
-Return all extras, damaged, or returned stock with accurate documentation
-Adhere to vehicle safety protocols and ensure vehicle is locked at each stop
-Refuel only at designated stations and return fuel slips upon debriefing
-Maintain temperature control for chilled, refrigerated, and ambient goods
-Follow all food health and safety requirements
Minimum Requirements:
-Senior Certificate / Grade 12
-Valid Code 14 Driverโs License held for at least 5 years
-Valid and clear Professional Driverโs Permit (PrDP)
-Minimum 5 yearsโ trucking and delivery experience
-At least 2 yearsโ experience in an FMCG environment
-Proven ability to read and write (good literacy and numeracy skills)
-Skilled in using GPS and reading maps
-Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
-Reliable, honest, and customer-focused
-Ability to take initiative, follow instructions, and work with minimal supervision
