Job Purpose

The General Worker will assist with production activities, support equipment operations, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure that all work is completed according to company procedures and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

• Assist in operating equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Conduct routine operational checks

• Monitor production processes and report deviations

• Assist with identifying corrective actions when required

Quality & Hygiene

• Adhere to HACCP food safety principles

• Maintain high hygiene standards at all times

• Ensure equipment and work areas remain clean and organised

• Follow factory standards relating to cleanliness and food safety

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations

• Report unsafe conditions and practices immediately

• Ensure compliance with company procedures and standards

Reporting

• Record equipment downtime

• Report wastage and production issues

• Escalate operational deviations to supervisors

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 10, Grade 11 or Grade 12 may be considered

Skills & Attributes

• Ability to work in a factory or production environment

• Good communication skills

• Ability to follow instructions

• Strong attention to detail

• Team player

• Reliable and punctual

• Safety conscious

• Willingness to work shifts when required
