Job Opportunity

Vhembe District Municipality is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for eleven (11) General Worker positions within the Water Services section.

Overview

The successful candidates will assist with the operation, maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep of water reservoirs, pipelines and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean inside water reservoirs

• Cut and remove grass using hand-held machines

• Wash and clean reservoirs

• Remove litter and debris

• Perform basic maintenance duties

• Assist with plumbing and pipeline work

• Repair leaks and connections

• Carry refuse to designated disposal sites

• Clean tools, equipment and work areas

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10

• No experience required

• Ability to work outdoors

• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
