Overview
Senwes Equipment is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our team in Bothaville. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of a heavy vehicle, facilitating the timely and secure distribution of stock to various outlets. The role also involves maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
-Perform general transportation duties as instructed by the branch manager.
-Ensure accurate and timely delivery of stock, with all loads securely fastened.
-Adhere to traffic regulations and company policies during transit.
-Submit invoices, fuel slips, and other related documents daily.
-Maintain proper tyre pressure and ensure the vehicle license disk is valid and visible.
-Safely store the vehicle and perform various ad hoc driving tasks as needed.
-Provide feedback on vehicle performance and address any issues promptly.
-Manage all delivery-related documents, including invoices, fuel slips, and accident reports.
-Verify and load the correct products onto the vehicle.
-Safely handle the loading and unloading of stock.
-Obtain proof of delivery with a signed receipt for all transactions.
-Deposit any received cash daily.
-Clean and maintain the vehicle as required.
-Provide ad hoc support as directed by management.
Requirements
- Valid and relevant heavy vehicle driverโs license.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Effective planning, organizing, and decision-making abilities.
- Keen attention to detail with a safety-conscious mindset.
