Overview
Clicks Group is recruiting 47 Shop Assistant / Cashier positions across multiple stores. This opportunity is ideal for customer-focused individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment. Successful candidates will provide excellent customer service, operate the point of sale efficiently, assist with merchandising, and help create an enjoyable shopping experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
– Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system.
– Handle cash and card transactions safely and according to company procedures.
– Promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and assist customers with new registrations.
– Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
– Maintain accurate scanning and payment processes.
– Assist with merchandising and replenishing stock.
– Keep shelves, displays and checkout areas clean and well organised.
– Ensure products are correctly displayed according to store standards.
– Provide customers with accurate information about products, promotions and store services.
– Follow company policies and operational procedures to support a positive shopping experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment will be advantageous.
- Good customer service skills.
- Basic mathematical and numeracy skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Advantageous
- Mathematics (50%) and English (50%) at Grade 12 level.
- Previous cashier or retail experience.
