Overview
Clicks Group is hiring multiple Shop Assistant / Cashiers across various stores nationwide. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about retail, customer service, and delivering a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver excellent customer service and create a friendly shopping environment
– Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately
– Handle cash and card transactions safely and correctly
– Promote loyalty programmes and encourage customer participation
– Assist customers with promotions, products, and store enquiries
– Maintain merchandising standards and ensure shelves are well-stocked
– Keep the store clean, organised, and aligned with visual standards
– Stay updated on products, promotions, and store activities
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Basic numeracy and cash handling skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good planning and organisational skills
Advantageous
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience
- Knowledge of FMCG or retail store operations
- Maths and English (50% or higher at Matric level)
