Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 10
- Minimum of one year relevant experience as a General Worker within an EEW Department
- Must be able to work at heights

Main Purpose of the Position
The Technical Workers will support maintenance and construction activities within the EEW Department at the Port of Durban.
The successful candidates will help ensure that maintenance and construction work is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively, while supporting technical teams on site.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for duties that include:
- Supporting EEW teams during maintenance activities
- Assisting with construction-related tasks
- Helping ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently
- Assisting with the supervision and coordination of Technical Worker teams on site
- Assisting qualified Electricians
- Assisting Millwrights
- Supporting general maintenance activities
