Overview

Senwes Equipment is inviting applications for its Technician Apprenticeship Programme in the Free State. This three-year programme is designed for individuals who are passionate about mechanics and the agricultural industry. Apprentices will receive structured technical training and practical workplace experience while working towards becoming qualified technicians specialising in agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist with servicing, maintaining, and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment.

– Conduct equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.

– Support qualified technicians with diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs.

– Gain practical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

– Assist with workshop operations, stock control, and parts management.

– Maintain workshop cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

– Follow all health and safety procedures.

– Provide professional customer service and technical support.

– Attend technical training programmes and complete practical assessments.

Entry Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) completed or currently completing.
  • Mathematics, Technical Mathematics, N2 Mathematics, or Engineering Mathematics (Mathematical Literacy will not be considered).
  • Valid driver’s licence or currently working towards obtaining one.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in mechanics, machinery, and agriculture.
