Overview
Poetry, part of Cape Union Mart International, is looking for a creative and passionate Visual Merchandiser to join its Irene Village store. This role is responsible for creating visually appealing displays, implementing promotional campaigns, and maintaining store presentation standards that enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
– Implement window displays and visual merchandising campaigns in line with brand standards.
– Execute seasonal and promotional displays within required timelines.
– Maintain attractive, clean, and up-to-date in-store displays and signage.
– Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained throughout the store.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to support brand campaigns and promotional activities.
– Maximise product visibility through effective space utilisation and display planning.
– Implement visual merchandising instructions from Head Office.
– Monitor and maintain all signage and visual merchandising materials.
– Assist with ordering visual merchandising fixtures and display equipment.
– Identify opportunities to improve product presentation and increase sales.
– Support customer service by creating an inviting and engaging shopping environment.
– Adhere to stock loss prevention and store security procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year visual merchandising experience in a retail environment.
- At least 2 years retail experience.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- South African citizen.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Willing and able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Willing to assist with new store openings when required.
