Overview
adidas is seeking a creative and detail-oriented In-Store Visual Merchandiser Specialist to join its Canal Walk store. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating engaging product displays, maintaining global visual merchandising standards, and enhancing the overall customer shopping experience while supporting store sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Merchandising
- Implement adidas global visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
- Create attractive and impactful product displays, windows, and promotional areas.
- Dress mannequins and position visual elements according to brand guidelines.
- Ensure all signage, graphics, and communication tools are displayed correctly.
- Maintain store presentation standards, including cleanliness, lighting, and product placement.
- Conduct daily visual merchandising audits and submit compliance reports.
Store Operations
- Assist with campaign changes and promotional launches.
- Manage and maintain visual merchandising equipment, fixtures, mannequins, and props.
- Ensure visual merchandising materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Monitor floor layouts and product presentation to maximize sales opportunities.
Training & Team Support
- Train store team members on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
- Guide staff on product presentation, folding techniques, hanger usage, and display standards.
- Support the store team in creating an exceptional customer experience.
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities and fashion trends.
- Provide feedback on store visual merchandising requirements.
- Analyse store performance and recommend merchandising improvements.
- Work closely with Store Management and Regional Visual Merchandising teams.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service in line with adidas brand standards.
- Promote product features, benefits, and seasonal collections.
- Support sales activities and assist customers when required.
- Maintain stock security and loss prevention procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 2โ3 years of visual merchandising experience in a retail environment.
- Passion for fashion, sportswear, and retail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong visual presentation skills.
