Overview

Motus Corporation is seeking an experienced Cashier to join its Midas branch in Uitenhage. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can manage financial transactions accurately while delivering excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for handling payments, maintaining transaction records, and ensuring proper cash control within the branch.

Key Responsibilities

– Receive and process payments from customers accurately

– Handle cash, card, and cheque transactions in line with company procedures

– Issue receipts and confirm transactions with customers

– Respond to customer queries regarding payments and pricing

– Perform daily cash reconciliation and balancing

– Verify cash totals against receipts and reports

– Capture cheque deposits and maintain transaction records

– Maintain and file all financial documentation accurately

– Assist with general administrative duties at the branch

Requirements & Skills

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2–5 years’ cashier experience (essential)
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel)
• Honest, reliable, and able to handle cash responsibly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to resolve discrepancies and work under pressure
• Clear credit (ITC) and criminal record
