Overview
Ster-Kinekor is hiring a General Assistant for its Mall of Africa cinema. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced entertainment environment while delivering excellent customer service.
You will be required to perform various duties across cinema operations, including cashier duties, food service, and assisting guests to ensure a memorable cinema experience.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist customers at ticket sales, food counters, and cinema areas
– Prepare and serve food items such as popcorn and beverages
– Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, counters, and public areas
– Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards
– Support daily shift preparations and operational tasks
– Promote cinema products and current promotions to customers
– Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
– Maintain neat product displays and updated promotional materials
– Assist in stock handling, storage, and general housekeeping
– Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 0โ1 year experience in a similar or customer service role
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Presentable, reliable, and customer-focused
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
