Overview
VKB Group is recruiting a Cashier for its retail operations in Memel. This role is suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage transactions accurately in a busy retail environment.
You will be responsible for handling all cash and card transactions while ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
– Process all cash and card payments at the point of sale
– Provide friendly and efficient customer service
– Issue receipts and accurately allocate customer payments
– Handle card transactions and perform related back-office tasks
– Ensure daily balancing of cash and transactions
– Perform daily banking of cash and cheque payments
– Maintain accuracy and accountability in all financial dealings
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Previous cashier or retail experience (advantageous)
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and conflict-handling skills
- Energetic, reliable, and trustworthy
