Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Cleaner to join the CJ Marketing offices in Delmas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic office environment while ensuring all workspaces and communal areas meet Dis-Chem’s high cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Clean offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and communal areas daily.
– Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the office.
– Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and clean office equipment according to company procedures.
– Ensure kitchens and bathrooms are fully stocked with cleaning and hygiene supplies.
– Empty bins and dispose of waste safely after checking for valuable items.
– Respond promptly to cleaning requests during operational hours.
– Follow health and safety procedures, including displaying wet floor signs when required.
– Store cleaning equipment safely after use.
– Report maintenance issues such as faulty lights, taps, doors, or other equipment.
– Provide friendly assistance to visitors and direct them when necessary.
– Communicate professionally with staff and visitors.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous cleaning experience will be an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Trustworthy, honest, and reliable.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good customer service skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- South African citizen.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
