Rustenburg Local Municipality has announced 55 Cleaner vacancies across various municipal departments and facilities. These permanent municipal positions offer an excellent opportunity for candidates with Grade 10 and one year of relevant cleaning experience to join the municipality.

Job Overview
Rustenburg Local Municipality is looking for hardworking, reliable and dedicated Cleaners to ensure municipal buildings, community facilities, libraries, housing offices and regional customer centres remain clean, safe and welcoming.
Depending on the department, successful candidates may also assist with preparing refreshments for visitors, maintaining hygiene standards and supporting the daily operations of municipal facilities.
Main Responsibilities
Successful applicants will perform duties such as:
-Cleaning offices and municipal buildings.
-Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors.
-Dusting furniture and office equipment.
-Cleaning windows, bathrooms and communal areas.
-Maintaining kitchens and preparing refreshments for visitors where required.
-Keeping libraries, community halls and municipal facilities clean.
-Cleaning housing offices and municipal flats.
-Maintaining cleanliness in Licensing and Testing Centres.
-Reporting maintenance issues where necessary.
-Ensuring municipal facilities remain neat and hygienic.
-Performing any other cleaning-related duties assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10.
- At least 1 year of relevant cleaning experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work under varying weather and workplace conditions where applicable.
