Position Type: Fixed-Term Contract (Youth Employment Programme)

Overview

Clicks Group is inviting applications for its Youth Employment Programme, offering unemployed young South Africans an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience in the health and beauty retail industry.

The programme combines classroom-based learning with practical on-the-job training in a Clicks retail store. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an NQF Level 2 Checkout Operator Occupational Qualification, equipping them with valuable retail skills and improving their future employment prospects.

Key Responsibilities

– Participate in classroom-based learning and training sessions.

– Complete practical workplace training in a Clicks retail store.

– Assist customers professionally at the checkout and sales floor.

– Learn retail operations, customer service, and merchandising practices.

– Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and workplace standards.

– Work effectively as part of a retail team.

– Complete all required assessments and learning activities throughout the programme.

Requirements

  • South African citizen.
  • Aged 18 to 29 years.
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Currently unemployed.
  • Must not currently be registered for another Learnership or Skills Programme.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a retail environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
