Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting 4 Clinic Receptionists to join its healthcare teams across selected KwaZulu-Natal clinics. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the smooth operation of a busy healthcare environment.
The successful candidates will be responsible for welcoming patients, managing appointments, maintaining patient records, handling medical aid payments, and ensuring an efficient clinic reception service.
Key Responsibilities
– Welcome and register patients according to clinic procedures.
– Assist patients with completing medical and medical aid forms.
– Manage appointments and patient scheduling.
– Open and maintain accurate patient records and files.
– Process medical aid and clinic-related payments.
– Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
– Provide patients with accurate information regarding clinic services.
– Take messages and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
– Follow up on patient queries and feedback requests.
– Monitor clinic stationery, medication, and equipment requirements.
– Ensure the reception area remains clean, organised, and professional.
– Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
– Assist patients during emergencies and provide appropriate support when required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy clinic environment.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- South African citizen.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
