Overview
SPCC is seeking to recruit 3 Shop Assistant / Cashiers to join its retail store teams in Gauteng and Mpumalanga. This opportunity is ideal for customer-focused individuals who are passionate about fashion, retail, and delivering exceptional shopping experiences.
Successful candidates will assist customers, process sales transactions, maintain store standards, and support daily retail operations while contributing to sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
– Assist customers with product selection and recommendations.
– Process purchases accurately through the till system.
– Promote additional products to increase basket value and sales.
– Ensure merchandise is replenished and displayed correctly on the sales floor.
– Maintain store cleanliness, housekeeping, and visual merchandising standards.
– Assist with ticketing, pricing, and promotional displays.
– Support management with daily store operations.
– Safeguard store assets and equipment.
– Monitor and assist with stock loss prevention initiatives.
– Contribute towards achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
– Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- At least 1 year of retail, cashier, or customer service experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Customer-focused and sales-driven attitude.
- Passion for fashion and retail.
- Social media awareness and trend consciousness will be advantageous.
