Job Opportunity

Vhembe District Municipality invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for five (5) Driver Operator positions.

The successful candidates will operate municipal vehicles and equipment while supporting water, sanitation and infrastructure operations.

Overview

Driver Operators will be responsible for transporting personnel, equipment and materials while ensuring safe operation of municipal vehicles and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate municipal vehicles and equipment

• Transport employees, tools and materials

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Ensure vehicles are clean and roadworthy

• Complete trip sheets and vehicle records

• Assist operational teams on site

• Report mechanical defects and accidents

• Comply with traffic regulations and safety procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10

• Valid Code EC Driver’s Licence

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

• Minimum 1–2 years relevant experience

Experience Required?

Yes – 1 to 2 years relevant driving experience required
