Overview
Rectron is looking for a reliable and professional Driver to join its Durban Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of company products and equipment to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced drivers who are committed to road safety, excellent service delivery, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver Rectron products and equipment to customers according to scheduled delivery routes.
– Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
– Obtain signed Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and submit them promptly.
– Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
– Adhere to all road traffic laws and company transport policies.
– Report accidents, vehicle damage, stock losses, hijackings, infringements, or any incidents immediately.
– Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of assigned vehicles.
– Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance requirements.
– Ensure vehicles are equipped with a spare wheel, jack, and fire extinguisher.
– Monitor tyre condition, vehicle servicing schedules, and general maintenance needs.
– Assist with general housekeeping and administrative duties when required.
– Support operational activities as directed by management.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Valid South African Driverโs Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Minimum of 2 yearsโ experience as a Driver.
- Clean driving record with no major infringements.
