Overview
RCL Foods is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Driver Salesman to join its Sunbake division in Tzaneen. This role combines product delivery and sales responsibilities, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy working with customers while ensuring products are delivered safely and on time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining delivery schedules, growing sales, building customer relationships, and ensuring efficient fleet and stock management.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver bakery products safely and efficiently to customers.
– Ensure deliveries are completed within the required timeframes.
– Obtain signed proof of delivery (POD) documentation for all deliveries.
– Maintain accurate delivery records and invoices.
– Promote and sell Sunbake bread and confectionery products to customers.
– Identify and secure new sales opportunities.
– Achieve daily sales targets and customer service standards.
– Ensure all returned stock is correctly authorised and recorded.
– Return crates and delivery equipment to the bakery daily.
– Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including tyre pressure checks.
– Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
– Ensure driver’s licence and PDP remain valid and up to date.
– Minimise product write-offs and stock losses.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Valid Driverโs Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Good customer service and sales skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery routes effectively.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious.
