Overview
Unicare, part of the Clicks Group, is recruiting a Driver for its 24-hour Pharmacy in Somerset West. This permanent opportunity is suited for experienced delivery drivers who are passionate about customer service and healthcare logistics.
The role involves the safe, timely and confidential delivery of prescription medication and healthcare products to customers, clinics and medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
-Deliver prescription and OTC medication to homes, clinics, retirement facilities and hospitals
-Prioritise urgent and time-sensitive deliveries
-Handle temperature-sensitive and scheduled medication securely
-Ensure refrigerated products are transported with ice packs
-Load delivery vehicle safely to prevent damage
-Obtain proof-of-delivery signatures
-Maintain strict patient confidentiality
-Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff
-Return undelivered or rejected items with correct documentation
-Complete delivery check sheets accurately
-Confirm parcel quantities before dispatch
-Keep delivery vehicle clean and maintained
-Report customer queries to the Dispensary Manager
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) โ Essential
- Minimum 2 years delivery or courier experience
- Code 08 or Code 10 Driverโs Licence (valid)
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- No traffic violations on record
- Willingness to work shifts
