Job Opportunity
Seriti is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates residing within host communities to participate in the Auto Electrician Engineering Learnership Programme.
The programme is designed to develop learners into qualified Artisans through structured theoretical and practical workplace training.
Overview
The purpose of this learnership is to provide candidates with the necessary training and exposure required to qualify as an Auto Electrician Artisan within the mining industry.
Requirements
โข Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) and Physical Science with a minimum E symbol (40%)
OR
โข N2 Certificate with the following trade-related subjects:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Industrial Electronics
- Electrical Trade Theory
โข Valid K53 Driver’s Licence
โข Able and willing to work shifts, standby duties and call-outs
โข Must be willing to undergo psychometric assessments
โข Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
โข No criminal record
Main Responsibilities
โข Participate in theoretical artisan training
โข Complete practical workplace training activities
โข Learn fault-finding and diagnostic procedures
โข Assist with maintenance and repair of auto electrical systems
โข Participate in safety and compliance activities
โข Complete all required trade assessments
โข Work towards obtaining a recognised trade qualification

โข Previous mining industry exposure
