Overview
Transnet is seeking experienced Erectors to install, erect and repair Overhead Track Equipment (OHTE) used in railway electrification systems.
Successful candidates will work on railway construction and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
โข Install and erect OHTE structures
โข Assist with planning and preparation of materials
โข Read and interpret electrification drawings
โข Handle and maintain tools and equipment
โข Assist with loading and offloading materials
โข Inspect tools and measuring equipment
โข Follow safe working procedures
โข Work on electrification systems and transmission lines
Minimum Requirements
โข Grade 12 with 3 years OHTE experience
OR
โข Grade 10 with 5 years proven OHTE railway construction experience
โข Valid C Green Certificate
โข Valid Working at Heights Certificate
โข Valid First Aid Level 1 Certificate
โข Knowledge of safety legislation
โข Physically fit
โข Good communication skills
