Overview
Lesedi is currently recruiting for 3 Housekeeper positions within its Facilities Department in Cape Town.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining clean, hygienic, and well-organised office environments, including bathrooms, passageways, pause areas, and other facility spaces. The role also includes supporting daily housekeeping operations, stock management, event setup assistance, and maintaining high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
– Perform daily cleaning and sanitising of bathrooms, offices, passageways, and pause areas.
– Refill hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers.
– Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, basins, mirrors, counters, and bathroom touchpoints.
– Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets where applicable.
– Empty bins and maintain clean, hygienic waste disposal areas.
– Conduct regular cleanliness checks throughout the day.
– Perform scheduled deep-cleaning duties.
– Clean tables, counters, sinks, and appliances in pause or kitchen areas.
– Report maintenance problems, leaks, damages, or safety hazards immediately.
– Assist with stock control, cleaning supply management, and equipment maintenance.
– Use cleaning chemicals safely and maintain proper usage records.
– Assist with event setup duties, including moving and arranging equipment.
– Support handyman and maintenance teams with ad-hoc duties when required.
– Maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and workplace standards at all times.
Requirements & Skills
-Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification.
-6โ12 months cleaning, housekeeping, or office cleaning experience.
-Previous hostess or event support experience will be advantageous.
-Valid driverโs licence will be advantageous.
-Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safe chemical handling.
-Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
-Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
-Computer literacy will be advantageous.
-Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
-Good time management and reliability.
-Professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
