Overview
These positions are responsible for delivering a world-class shopping experience at the point of sale while ensuring accurate transactions, proper merchandising and strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
Whether permanent, casual or fixed-term, the roles require professionalism, honesty and strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately (cash, cards, vouchers and loyalty cards)
- Ensure safe and secure handling of cash
- Maintain high standards of customer service
- Assist with merchandising and stock presentation
- Ensure correct pricing and labelling
- Handle returns and exchanges according to company policy
- Escalate unresolved customer complaints to management
- Adhere to security and standard operating procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- For the Store Driver role: Deliver goods safely and professionally to customers
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum 6 months cashier or till experience (for cashier roles)
- Computer literacy
- Strong numerical skills
- Good command of English
- Willing and able to work retail hours, including weekends
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal and credit record
- Reliable transport or reside near the store
