Salary
R144 024 per annum (Level 02)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
-ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 / NQF Level 1 qualification.
-South African citizenship.
-Ability to communicate in English and one other official language.
-Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
-Ability to read and write.
-Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures.
-Understanding of handling cleaning materials and detergents.
-Ability to operate basic gardening machines and equipment.
-Good interpersonal and communication skills.
-Willingness to work extended hours when operationally required.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Cultivating and maintaining gardens and landscaped areas.
- Preparing soil for planting flowers, shrubs and plants.
- Watering, fertilising, pruning and weeding flower beds.
- Mowing lawns and trimming grass edges.
- Irrigating lawns and maintaining healthy vegetation.
- Loading and unloading gardening equipment and materials.
- Removing refuse and garden waste from SAPS premises.
- Loading refuse onto vehicles for disposal.
- Maintaining clean, safe and neat surroundings.
- Assisting with general grounds maintenance duties.
