The South African Police Service (SAPS) is inviting applications for 9 Security Guard posts within the Division: Crime Intelligence. These positions are based at Head Office: Division Crime Intelligence, Erasmuskloof.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
-Grade 10 / Standard 8 / NCV Level 2.
-Valid PSIRA registration.
-At least Grade C Security Certificate or higher.
-South African citizenship.
-Ability to communicate in English and one other official language.
-Willingness to work shifts and extended hours.
-Willingness to undergo and maintain firearm competency.
-Must not be declared unfit to possess a firearm.
A valid driverโs licence and relevant security courses will be added advantages.
Key Duties
Successful candidates will:
- Perform access control duties.
- Identify employees, visitors and contractors at security points.
- Register and search visitors, employees and contractors.
- Authorise entry after all security requirements are met.
- Issue and receive visitor admission cards.
- Keep visitor registers updated.
- Patrol SAPS buildings and fenced-off areas.
- Guard vehicles and equipment from a security point of view.
- Check security equipment and report problems to senior security personnel.
