The South African Police Service (SAPS) is recruiting Supply Chain Clerks for various Supply Chain Management sections across Pretoria, Kimberley, Nelspruit and Polokwane.

These administration opportunities are suitable for applicants with Grade 12, strong computer skills and an interest in logistics, procurement and asset management.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

-Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 (NQF Level 4).

-Be proficient in English and at least one other official language.

-Be a South African citizen.

-Good computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Office).

-Good communication, planning and organisational skills.

-Strong analytical, report writing and problem-solving skills.

-Good interpersonal and presentation skills.

-Ability to work independently and under pressure.

-Relevant Supply Chain or Logistics courses will be an added advantage.


Key Responsibilities

Depending on the section, successful candidates will assist with:

  • Supply chain and procurement administration.
  • Asset and inventory management.
  • State property administration and inspections.
  • Room inventories and asset disposal.
  • Supplier database administration.
  • Fleet and vehicle management.
  • Logistics and acquisition administration.
  • Storeroom and movable government property management.
  • Loss management and inventory control.
  • Occupational safety, environmental and facility administration.
