About the Role
The Stockroom Associate plays an essential role in ensuring the efficient flow of merchandise from receiving through to the sales floor. The successful candidate will manage stockroom activities, maintain accurate stock control, support inventory movement and ensure the store remains well-stocked and ready to meet customer needs.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoy working behind the scenes to support outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
-Receiving, inspecting and dispatching stock efficiently.
-Processing incoming stock within specified timeframes.
-Facilitating the efficient movement and rotation of stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
-Monitoring stock movements and providing feedback to management regarding stock-related issues.
-Supporting the achievement of store sales targets through effective stock availability.
-Maintaining world-class housekeeping and organisation standards within the stockroom.
-Managing stock shrinkage in accordance with company policies and procedures.
-Assisting in supervising and providing direction to the stockroom team where required.
-Supporting daily store operations and other duties assigned by management.
-Delivering exceptional customer service whenever required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
-Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
-Previous retail experience (essential).
-A minimum of 2 years’ stockroom experience (advantageous).
-Previous experience within the hospitality industry (advantageous).
-Ability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
