Overview
Totalsports is recruiting unemployed youth for its YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme at the Cavendish store in the Western Cape.
This opportunity is ideal for energetic young people who are passionate about sport, fitness, fashion, and customer service and want to gain valuable retail work experience with one of South Africaโs leading sports retailers.
Successful candidates will gain workplace exposure, customer service experience, and practical retail skills within a fast-paced store environment.
About the YES Programme
The YES Programme is a South African youth employment initiative designed to provide unemployed youth with valuable workplace experience and improve future employability opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
-Be between 18โ28 years old
-Have Grade 10 (minimum requirement)
-Matric will be advantageous
-Be available to work a fixed-term 12-month contract
-Not be studying full-time during the programme
-Not have participated in the YES Programme before
-Not have been permanently employed by one employer continuously for more than 1 year
Additional Requirements
- Accommodation and transport will be for the applicantโs own account
- Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act
