TFG’s @home brand is inviting young South Africans to apply for the YES Youth Opportunity Programme at its De Waterkant store in Cape Town.
This programme provides unemployed youth with valuable workplace experience in a professional retail environment, helping participants build skills, confidence and employability through a 12-month work experience opportunity.
About the Programme
The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme is designed to provide young South Africans with meaningful work experience and exposure to the retail industry.
Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced retail professionals within one of South Africa’s leading homeware brands.

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates may be required to assist with:
Customer Service
โข Assisting customers in-store
โข Providing product information
โข Delivering excellent customer service
โข Supporting customer enquiries
Retail Operations
โข Merchandising products
โข Replenishing stock
โข Maintaining store presentation standards
โข Assisting with stock management
General Store Support
โข Supporting daily store operations
โข Assisting team members where required
โข Maintaining housekeeping standards
โข Participating in training and development activities
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
โข Be between 18 and 28 years old
โข Have Matric (preferred)
โข Be available to work a fixed-term 12-month contract
โข Not have been permanently employed with one employer for more than one continuous year
โข Not be studying full-time during the employment period (April 2026 โ March 2027)
โข Not have participated in or been registered on the YES Programme before
โข Be able to arrange their own accommodation and transport if required
