Overview

The Client Service Officer provides frontline customer services to members of the public visiting Labour Centres.

Successful candidates will assist with registrations, processing applications, responding to enquiries, handling complaints, supporting employment services and providing administrative support in accordance with departmental policies and legislation.


Key Responsibilities

Client Services & Registration

โ€ข Assist clients at service points and help desks

โ€ข Register clients and applications on departmental systems

โ€ข Verify and process submitted documentation

โ€ข Provide information regarding labour legislation and services

Administrative Support

โ€ข Maintain records and documentation

โ€ข Capture information on departmental systems

โ€ข Process applications and forms

โ€ข Assist with reporting and filing duties

Public Employment Services

โ€ข Register work seekers on ESSA

โ€ข Register employment and learning opportunities

โ€ข Refer work seekers for employment counselling services

โ€ข Assist with placement support services

UIF & Compensation Fund Services

โ€ข Process UIF benefit applications

โ€ข Register payment continuation forms

โ€ข Assist employers and beneficiaries

โ€ข Handle Compensation Fund claims and enquiries

Customer Service

โ€ข Resolve client complaints and enquiries

โ€ข Provide professional customer support

โ€ข Participate in advocacy and awareness programmes


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

โ€ข Grade 12 / Matric / National Senior Certificate

Experience

โ€ข No experience required

Added Advantage

โ€ข Valid driver’s licence (for PES positions)
