Overview
Food Lover’s Market is recruiting 5 Bakers to join their bakery teams across multiple locations. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about baking and food production, with the ability to prepare high-quality baked goods while maintaining strict hygiene and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Prepare and bake a variety of products according to approved recipes
– Follow production schedules to ensure product availability at all times
– Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
– Monitor baking processes to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation
– Assist with creating and testing new recipes when required
– Maintain stock levels and report low ingredients to management
– Conduct regular stock counts and assist with ordering supplies
– Ensure all baked goods are properly displayed for customers
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery area at all times
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Previous experience as a Baker or in a similar role
- Knowledge of baking processes, recipes, and equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Must reside within 25km of the job location
- Clear criminal record
Preferred:
- Experience in retail or commercial bakery environment
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- South African citizen
- Age between 18 โ 65
