Overview
BUCO and TimberCity are currently recruiting for 5 Cashier positions across various branches. This opportunity is ideal for customer-focused individuals who enjoy working with people and providing excellent service at the point of sale.
The successful candidates will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, maintaining cash handling procedures, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
– Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
– Process purchases accurately and efficiently.
– Accept cash, card, and other approved payment methods.
– Issue receipts and ensure transaction accuracy.
– Balance tills and reconcile cash at the end of shifts.
– Maintain a high standard of customer service.
– Handle customer queries professionally.
– Ensure the security of cash and company assets.
– Support store operations when required.
– Uphold company values, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Must be proficient in English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Previous cashier experience advantageous.
- Building materials or retail product knowledge will be an advantage.
