Overview

Pedros and Wackys are recruiting Chicken Preppers / Cookers (X15 Posts) for multiple stores across South Africa. These opportunities are ideal for energetic individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and are passionate about food preparation, quality service, and maintaining high food safety standards.

Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing chicken products according to company recipes and procedures while ensuring excellent hygiene, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

– Prepare, clean, cut, and portion chicken according to company specifications.

– Marinate, season, and bread chicken products following approved recipes.

– Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation standards are maintained.

– Follow food safety and hygiene procedures when handling raw products.

– Store stock correctly and apply FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation practices.

– Maintain clean and organised preparation areas, utensils, and equipment.

– Assist kitchen teams during busy operational periods.

– Monitor stock levels and report shortages to supervisors.

– Follow company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.

– Support smooth daily restaurant operations.

Requirements & Skills

  • Grade 10, Grade 11, or Grade 12.
  • Previous food preparation or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required for all locations.
  • Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
