Overview
ADvTECH Schools is inviting applications for four Classroom and Aftercare Assistant positions across its schools in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal. These opportunities are ideal for caring, energetic, and passionate individuals who enjoy working with young children and supporting their learning and development in a nurturing school environment.
Successful candidates will assist teachers with classroom activities, support learners throughout the school day, and help create a safe, engaging, and positive learning experience.

- Classroom Assistant โ Sandton, Gauteng
- Aftercare Assistant โ Roodepoort, Gauteng
- Classroom Assistant โ Roodepoort, Gauteng
- Grade 0000 Classroom Assistant โ Westbrook, KwaZulu-Natal
Key Responsibilities
– Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation.
– Support children’s learning, development, and school readiness.
– Supervise and care for learners throughout the school day or aftercare programme.
– Encourage learning through play and interactive educational activities.
– Monitor learner progress and assist with continuous assessment.
– Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom environment.
– Participate in school events, activities, and educational programmes.
– Build positive relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues.
– Assist with general classroom administration and daily routines.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom, preschool, aftercare, or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Passion for early childhood education and learner development.
