Job Opportunity

Vhembe District Municipality is recruiting seventeen (17) Junior Firefighters to assist with firefighting, rescue operations, fire prevention activities and emergency response services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate firefighting equipment

• Attend fire incidents and emergencies

• Perform rescue operations

• Provide emergency medical care where required

• Respond to hazardous material incidents

• Participate in fire prevention programmes

• Maintain firefighting vehicles and equipment

• Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12

• Firefighter I Course

• Hazmat Awareness

• Code EC Driver’s Licence

• Physically and mentally fit

• Must pass a medical assessment
