The Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) is inviting applications for a Human Resource Clerk: Organisational Development and Service Delivery Improvement vacancy in Pretoria, Gauteng.

This is an excellent opportunity for applicants with a Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) qualification who are looking to start a career in the public service, as no previous work experience is required.

Successful candidates will provide clerical and administrative support within the Human Resources component, including records management, correspondence, supply chain support, personnel administration, and financial administration.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

-Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or an NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA.

No previous experience required.

-Computer literacy.

-Good interpersonal and communication skills.

-Planning and organisational skills.

-Good verbal and written communication skills.

-Ability to work in a team.

-Analytical thinking and initiative.

-Flexibility and a willingness to learn.-Knowledge of the following will be an advantage:

-Clerical duties and administrative practices.

-Capturing and collecting statistics.

-Public Service legislative framework.

-Working procedures within the Public Service.


Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support services.
  • Record, organise, capture, store and retrieve correspondence and data.
  • Handle routine enquiries.
  • Type letters, reports, minutes and other correspondence.
  • Provide supply chain support services.
  • Maintain the component’s asset register.
  • Control office stationery and supplies.
  • Maintain leave registers.
  • Provide personnel administration support.
  • Assist with financial administration within the component.
