Overview
Food Lover’s Market is recruiting 6 Merchandisers to join their store teams across multiple locations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a retail environment, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, visually appealing, and maintained to high quality standards while assisting customers when needed.
Key Responsibilities
– Unpack, count, and organise stock for display on shelves
– Ensure shelves are fully stocked, neat, and visually appealing at all times
– Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
– Rotate stock (FIFO) and remove expired or damaged items
– Create and maintain attractive promotional and seasonal displays
– Follow merchandising standards, layouts, and store plans
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of store and storeroom areas
– Assist customers with product information and queries
– Work with sales and marketing teams to optimise product displays
– Keep accurate records of stock movement and merchandising activities
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Previous experience as a Merchandiser, General Worker, or similar role
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Physically fit and able to handle stock
- Must reside within 25km of the job location
- Clear criminal record
Preferred:
- Experience in retail merchandising or FMCG environment
- Creative ability to design attractive product displays
- South African citizen
- Age between 18 โ 65
