Midvaal Local Municipality is inviting applications for the position of Relief Cashier. This is not a permanent role. Successful candidates will provide relief support from time to time as required.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 with Mathematics or Accounting
-1 year experience as a cashier
-Computer literacy
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work under pressure
Added Advantages:
-Experience in the Income Section of a Finance Department
-Previous cashier experience in a pressurised environment (e.g. Bank)
-Knowledge of Cash Drawer Programme
Key Duties
-Receive payments via cash, debit card, or credit card and issue receipts
-Balance daily revenue and compare with audit trail
-Complete bank deposit slips and bank daily revenue collected
-Open, close, and secure cash register
-Account for all monies received and deposited
-Perform ad hoc and related duties as instructed by the Supervisor
