Overview
GALXBOY, one of South Africa’s leading streetwear brands, is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join its Sandton City store. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who enjoy fashion, retail, and delivering outstanding customer experiences while contributing to store sales and brand growth.
Key Responsibilities
– Welcome customers and provide professional, friendly customer service.
– Assist customers with product selection and offer recommendations.
– Drive sales through upselling and cross-selling techniques.
– Promote available payment options, including PAYFLEX, PJN and Happy Pay.
– Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
– Maintain attractive product displays in line with visual merchandising standards.
– Steam, tag, fold, replenish and organise merchandise on the sales floor.
– Keep the stockroom clean, organised and properly stocked.
– Monitor stock levels and report best sellers or shortages to management.
– Follow company procedures, attendance schedules and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Computer literacy.
- Higher qualification will be advantageous.
- 1โ2 years’ retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of retail operations and sales practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
