Overview
BUCO is currently recruiting for 4 Security Checker positions across multiple branches. This opportunity is ideal for vigilant, responsible, and security-conscious individuals who are committed to protecting company assets, preventing losses, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring goods leaving the premises, conducting security checks, maintaining visitor records, and assisting with loss prevention activities.
Key Responsibilities
– Check all goods leaving the store or yard against supporting documentation.
– Verify sales transactions and returned merchandise.
– Obtain signatures from credit customers where required.
– Monitor and manage cash customer payments.
– Conduct vehicle checks at exit and entry points.
– Control and monitor boom gate movements.
– Complete and maintain visitor registers daily.
– Report suspicious activities, incidents, or security risks immediately.
– Assist in preventing theft, shrinkage, and stock losses.
– Ensure company premises remain secure at all times.
– Maintain professional conduct and excellent timekeeping.
– Uphold company values, policies, and security procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience, preferably in hardware, retail, or security environments.
- Good observation and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
