The Gauteng Department of Health is inviting applications for 12 Cleaner Level 2 vacancies at Tambo Memorial Hospital.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
-Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.
–No previous work experience required.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Ability to perform routine cleaning duties.
-Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
The following will be an added advantage:
- Previous Public Service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
-Clean hospital wards, offices, bathrooms, passages, waiting areas and other facilities.
-Clean interior and exterior areas of the hospital.
-Dust, wash, scrub and polish floors, windows, stairs, walls and fire escapes.
-Clean medical equipment, refrigerators and other designated areas.
-Mop floors and clean spillages immediately.
-Empty bins and safely dispose of general and medical waste.
-Follow Health Care Waste Management policies.
-Apply Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.
-Rotate between work areas as required.
-Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.
