Overview
Country Road Group is looking for a creative and passionate Visual Merchandiser to join its retail team in Cape Town. This role is responsible for creating attractive in-store displays, window presentations, and promotional layouts that enhance the customer shopping experience while driving sales and maintaining the premium Country Road Group brand image.
The successful candidate will work closely with store management to implement visual merchandising strategies across multiple store locations.
Key Responsibilities
– Implement visual merchandising displays according to brand guidelines.
– Create attractive window displays and in-store promotional areas.
– Plan and execute floor moves to maximise sales opportunities.
– Style mannequins and product displays in line with seasonal campaigns.
– Ensure all signage and promotional material is correctly displayed.
– Maintain visual merchandising equipment, fixtures, and fittings.
– Keep merchandising resources clean, organised, and in excellent condition.
– Conduct store walkthroughs with management after merchandising changes.
– Support and train store teams on visual merchandising standards.
– Monitor product launches and ensure new stock is displayed effectively.
– Work with management to identify fast- and slow-selling products and adjust displays accordingly.
– Maintain excellent communication with store and stockroom teams.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Visual Merchandiser in a retail environment.
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours and shifts.
- A qualification in Consumer Science will be advantageous.
