Tiger Brands is looking for a General Worker Packer to join its operations in Maitland. This is a full-time, onsite position focused on packing, production support, housekeeping, food safety and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
-Preparing packaging materials and equipment before production
-Performing day-to-day production and manual activities
-Packing the correct quantities of products into boxes
-Ensuring boxes are properly sealed
-Packing products correctly onto pallets
-Checking date codes, packaging and sealing quality
-Monitoring packing operations and stopping equipment when problems arise
-Reporting product defects, safety risks, incidents and production stoppages
-Collecting and managing waste around the production facility
-Maintaining clean and organised work areas
-Following GMP, Food Safety, Quality and Safety standards
-Supporting production loss capturing when required
-Assisting with safe start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers
-Following 5S and other operational improvement requirements
-Reporting attendance-related issues to the relevant supervisor or manager
Skills & Attributes
Candidates should be able to:
- Perform manual production and packing duties
- Follow instructions, procedures and safety requirements
- Work effectively in a production environment
- Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Identify and report quality or safety problems
- Work accurately when packing and checking products
- Work effectively as part of a production team
