Overview

Premier is offering an exciting Millwright Apprenticeship Programme for motivated individuals who are passionate about engineering and technical trades. This three-year programme combines accredited theoretical training with practical workplace experience, allowing apprentices to develop the skills needed to qualify as a Millwright.

Throughout the programme, apprentices will receive hands-on training under the supervision of qualified artisans while building valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Participate in both theoretical and practical apprenticeship training.

– Work under the supervision of qualified Millwright Artisans.

– Assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.

– Apply theoretical knowledge in practical workplace situations.

– Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

– Attend all scheduled training sessions and successfully complete assessments.

– Work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • N3 qualification.
  • N2 qualification with relevant trade subjects, including:
    • Engineering Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Mechanical
    • Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
    • Electrical (advantageous)
  • Some relevant work experience will be an advantage.

  • Passion for engineering and technical work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and practical ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
