Overview
Premier is looking for a dedicated Loader to join its Port Elizabeth Depot. This role is responsible for loading and offloading bread efficiently while ensuring product quality, accurate stock handling, and compliance with company procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with the Dispatch team to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
– Load and offload bread according to standard operating procedures.
– Follow the correct loading and offloading sequence.
– Count and balance bread trays accurately on delivery vehicles.
– Ensure only quality products are loaded and dispatched.
– Apply First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation principles.
– Attend daily operational meetings.
– Report loading and offloading issues to the Dispatch Supervisor.
– Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Basic computer skills.
- At least 3 months’ experience in a similar FMCG loading or warehouse role.
Skills and Competencies
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic numerical ability.
- Team player with a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Results-driven with a positive work ethic.
Working Conditions
- Permanent position.
- Six-day work week.
- Required to work rotating shifts.
- Must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
- May be required to work until the last delivery truck has been completed.
- Company uniforms will be provided.
